RBWM Residents Update

Sunningdale Parish Council

Due to COVID19 there are a number of changes to RBWM’s civic amenity sites, large item collections, new bin deliveries and green waste subscriptions:

  • The civic amenity site on Stafferton Way, Maidenhead remains open but is unable to accept plasterboard at this time. Please note that the site saw very long queues yesterday and if we see similar levels of demand we may need to temporarily close the site for safety reasons.
  • Due to staff shortages RBWM are currently not able to deliver new bins or accept large item collection bookings at this time. If you do not have a bin because you were awaiting a new one we will accept waste in black sacks or a recycling box. If you have large item collection booked for this week you will be contacted and a refund arranged.
  • RBWM have stopped accepting new green waste subscriptions at this time but collections will continue at the moment for existing subscribers.

Children’s play equipment closures

To help reduce the risk and spread of COVID19 RBWM will be closing all Royal Borough owned children’s play areas and play equipment with immediate effect until further notice. Signage to this effect will be going up in the areas shortly. RBWM parks and open spaces will remain open to use but please adhere to social distancing guidance which includes keeping at least two meters apart.

Tivoli who keep RBWM parks and children’s play areas safe and clean will continue to visit the play areas as part of their normal inspection regime.

Message from Department for work and pensions – Jobcentres

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have announced that they are now prioritising their activity around new claims and payments and are working hard to get clear guidelines out regarding the changes. Moving forward it is likely that some of their Partnership Team will be supporting front line services within Jobcentres and when this happens there will be a system in place to respond to urgent customer issues, which they will communicate.
