Concerns have been raised with the Parish Council through the office regarding work that has taken place in Coworth Park Copse – formerly know as Granny Kettle Wood on Whitmore Lane.
This is designated as an Ancient Woodland and any work carried out there must have planning permission from the Planning Authority at RBWM.
The tree team is aware of the felling that has taken place and an officer will be attending the site today to ascertain the extent of work and whether or not this any action needs to be taken to prevent further damage.
Until the officer reports back, we cannot comment further apart from to thank all the residents who have reported this to the Parish Council and also to RBWM over the last few hours and we will provide an update once we receive it.
