Recreation Ground Remains Open

Sunningdale Parish Council

Broomhall Park Recreation Ground remains open for walking and use of the playgrounds during the period of National Lockdown.  However, this is for local residents ONLY.

National Lockdown rules clearly state:

You must not leave or be outside of your home except where necessary. You may leave the home to:

  • shop for necessities, for you or a vulnerable person
  • go to work, or provide voluntary or charitable services, if you cannot reasonably do so from home
  • exercise with your household (or support bubble) or one other person, this should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area.
  • meet your support bubble or childcare bubble where necessary, but only if you are legally permitted to form one
  • seek medical assistance or avoid injury, illness, or risk of harm (including domestic abuse)
  • attend education or childcare – for those eligible

If you do leave home for a permitted reason, you should always stay local – unless it is necessary to go further, for example to go to work. Stay local means stay in the village, town, or part of the city where you live.

Please take the time to read the guidance and advice displayed at many points around the recreation ground to keep you safe whilst you visit.  And remember, as your visit should be for a limited time only, the toilets remain closed.

As no food or drink has been permitted in the playground since it re-opened, we would once again request that visitors abide by these rules and reduce the amount of litter which is placed in the bins provided – a council employee must empty these – so every piece of litter you bring, and leave puts someone else at risk.

To discourage families travelling from outside the area from visiting the park and playgrounds the car parking facility has once again been significantly reduced.

Remember – HANDS – FACE – SPACE
