Important changes to bin collections – reminder
In order to improve waste and recycling services, from Monday 26 October we changed the collection day for a small number of households in the borough. The majority of these households are in the Cookham, Maidenhead, Windsor and Wraysbury areas.
All affected households were sent a letter in advance, detailing the changes and advising them of their new collection day.
The changes include the introduction of a Saturday collection, the first of which is tomorrow. The new Saturday collection consists of six rounds – three recycling and three general waste – so it’s a smaller round than the weekday collections and there shouldn’t be any issues in completing it. There is also a support crew in place should they be needed.
This week we’ve seen a considerable improvement in round completion. However, we appreciate that there are still some individual issues and we are working closely with Serco to ensure these are rectified as soon as possible.
