Coronavirus update
RBWM will be updating their website regularly with new announcements on COVID19 and how they are supporting residents and businesses. Today’s highlights are:
- Community Action – see where we can all provide community help for vulnerable residents.
- All future scheduled public council meetings have been cancelled
- Maidenhead Town Hall, Libraries, Youth Centres, Museums and Children’s Centres will be closed from today.
- Waste and recycling services continue as usual.
- Parking restrictions – news for all Windsor zone resident permit holders.
- Plans for weddings booked with our registrars.
- Support for businesses will be updated as we receive details from central government.
There is a large amount of information and misinformation circulating both in the newspapers and online; if you are concerned or want more information or advice, check the official and professional sources of information including www.gov.uk/coronavirus.
Online payments
While the Town Hall and libraries are closed, you can pay for the majority of council services on our website using a credit or debit card. Please visit www.rbwm.gov.uk/pay to make your payment.
Libraries online resources
Did you know that with your library card you can get thousands of free magazine and newspaper downloads on your phone and tablet with the Press Reader App?
So whether you want to catch up on magazines or read the newspaper headlines, you can do it all from the comfort of your home. There’s even a category for kids and tweens which includes The Week Junior and the Beano.
To get set up you’ll need to download the Press Reader app and log in with your library card details.
While the libraries are closed, books can still be returned using the drop boxes outside all buildings and you can also renew books online. RBWM will also waive any library fines accrued during this time. You can still contact the libraries team by telephone on 01628 796969.

Advantage Card support for businesses
In support of businesses, if you run a local business and want to promote your services to residents, get in touch with the Advantage Card.
Whether you’re able to deliver online classes or courses, gift packs, voucher gifts to use later in the year or food deliveries, RBWM will be able to let residents know so they can support you over the coming months. You can create an online offer here, for the April Advantage e-news.
Each month RBWM share the new offers on our Facebook page and online.
To keep in the loop with our monthly offers, Advantage Card holders can sign up to our Advantage Card mailing list.
