Mandatory face coverings reminder
The government announced that face coverings will be mandatory in shops and supermarkets from 24 July 2020.
Under the new rules, people who do not wear a face covering could face a fine of up to £100.
Children under 11 and those with certain disabilities will be exempt.
Should an individual without an exemption refuse to wear a face covering, a shop can refuse them entry and can call the police.
Do not put face coverings or PPE in a recycling bin as they cannot be recycled through conventional recycling facilities

Outbreak control plan
As part of the response to COVID-19, each council with responsibility for statutory Public Health functions has been asked to lead a local approach, based around an outbreak management plan.
In line with national guidance, our Royal Borough Outbreak Control Plan was signed-off by Duncan Sharkey, Managing Director, Tessa Lindfield, Strategic Director of Public Health for Berkshire, and Trish Mannes, Public Health England, Thames Valley Health Protection Team.
The plan sets out how local partners will work together to reduce transmission of COVID-19 and prevent and manage outbreaks. This is a borough-wide plan and has been developed with our key partners.
You can play your part in keeping safe by following government guidelines on limiting contact with people, keeping your distance from people not in your household and washing your hands regularly.
