Residents are being encouraged to come along with their containers and shovels and pick up some free compost as part of the Royal Borough’s compost giveaway in Dedworth.
The event will run from 9.30am until 12.30pm on Saturday 30 June at Clewer Memorial Recreation Ground, Dedworth Road, Windsor.
Five tonnes of free compost, made from residents’ own recycled green garden waste, will be given away and is an ideal soil improver for gardens in preparation for the summer.
In addition to the compost, residents will also be able to recycle unwanted small electrical items, pick up free food waste bags, order a new bin and pick up information on recycling.
Residents are asked to come along with their own bags, containers and shovels as the compost will be loose.
