CIL – Survey Results

Community Infrastructure Levy (or CIL for short) is the way Council collects financial contributions from developers to help pay for new and improved infrastructure which mitigates the effect of development.

In December 2022 Sunningdale Parish Council asked residents for their views on how these funds could be spent on behalf of the community, explaining some ideas may be possible but some may not.

The results were as follows:

  1. 73% of people surveyed were not aware of the Community Grants that are available to aid funding of a project benefiting the community.
  2. Physical Infrastructure. 48% of people surveyed thought Walkways and Pavement Lighting needed improvements. 36% thought Highways needed better maintenance.
  3. Social Infrastructure. 30% of people surveyed thought Health Care was of priority followed by 27% of people thinking more choice of Sports and Community facilities was needed.
  4. Green Infrastructure. 39% of people surveyed thought the Woodlands needed improving.

Thank you to all residents who took the time to complete the survey. Sunningdale Parish Council will be working on various projects through out the year and will take into account the answers provided by residents in this survey. Please visit the projects page on our website for continual updates.
