The prior approval planning applications (26/00807, 26/00808, 26/00809, 26/00810) submitted in March 2026 for 26-54 and 56-78 Beverley Court, Cedar Drive, Sunningdale have been REFUSED.
Within the RBWM planning officer reports, they state:
“Prior approval is refused by virtue of Part 20, Class A, Para A.2(1)(e) of Schedule 2 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) as the external appearance of the resulting building, by reason of its height, mass, scale and design, would appear unduly prominent in the street scene and would be inconsistent with the prevailing height and form of neighbouring properties and out of keeping with the locality in general and would fail to add to the overall quality of the area, contrary to the design objectives set out in the paragraphs 124e) and 135 of the NPPF (2024) and the guidance set out in the Council’s Building Height and Tall Buildings SPD (November 2023).” (Applications 26/00807, 26/00808, 26/00809, 26/00810)
and
“The proposal fails to meet the minimum space standards set out in the Nationally Described Space Standards (March 2015) and the proposal does not therefore constitute permitted development under Article 3, Paragraph 9A(b) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015.” (Applications 26/00807 & 26/00810)
